Snow Doesn’t Stop play

Thank you again to all RCS staff who have been on rota in this difficult weather.

Every job complete and all of our clients are happy!

Well done gang.

Dry Ice Blasting

The technology involved and the surfaces it can clean never ceases to amaze us! We think it is that good RCS has just invested in more machinery.

Check out some videos here on our FB page… http://www.facebook.com/DryIceBlastingUK

We are discussing if we should branch this tech away from RCS and run it as a seperate business altogether, such is the demand for the service right now….exciting times ahead indeed!

In case anyone is unsure of what Dry Ice Blasting is/does, here is a short description.

  • Dry Ice is liquid CO2 gas made into solid form (3mm pellets that have a temperature of -79C).
  • We fire (lots of) pellets at the surface we are cleaning, very fast, via air compressors and a blast gun.
  • The pellet hits the surface to be cleaned, freezes it and causes a mini explosion.
  • It then vaporizes back to a gas and disappears into the air, leaving no secondary debris to clean up.
  • This means we can use the technology inside buildings and on machinery that is still in its place. No dismantling is involved which reduces the downtime of the machine/surface to be cleaned.
  • Reduced downtime = increased production = happy company owners!
  • Everyone is happy!

Out of all the machines, tech etc RCS has purchased over the last two decades, none have even come close to the jaw dropping results and sheer efficiency that Dry Ice blasting has produced.

We feel there isn’t anything that we now can’t clean!

Linkedin Post

Below is my post on the ‘FinditinBirmingham.com’ group page of Linkedin. If anyone reading this is interested then please get in touch via the contact page on this site or on 01212884945.

‘RCS are looking for an assortment of SME’s to form a contract cleaning/janitorial consortium in the Birmingham area.

As many of you may be aware the Government is pushing local authorities to award more public contracts to SME’s. The Government recognizes that SME’s accounted for 51% of the UK’s GDP and micro-businesses (less than 10 people) accounted for 20% of GDP and that we are vital in taking the economy in the right direction.
The problem that many SME’s face is that winning the larger public contracts is nigh on impossible as PQQ is often weighted towards the larger, often non UK, companies.
A way we can overcome this is by forming together and pooling resources in order to win these Government contracts.
Having never attempted to form a consortium before i would be interested to hear your opinion or would welcome any input regarding participation.’

Resolutions

The bets are on! We have set up a company ‘New Year Resolution Competition’. The winner will receive a free carpet clean or a free oven de-grease from the operative of their choice…..better get my marigolds at the ready!!

The Big Cleanup!

At New Years Eve please raise a glass for the army of cleaners that have polished, scrubbed and sparkled your favourite pubs and restaurants over the festive period. It can be a thankless task, as most in the industry have to deal with an increased workload but still within the time constraints set out by service level agreements.

So therefore I would like to thank all of my wonderful staff who have worked on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day in order to service contracts for Ember Inns Pub and Dining, Crown Carvery Pub and Restaurant, The Hungry Horse Pub Chain and Birmingham City Councils’ Homeless Support Teams. Every deadline has been achieved which is something to be very proud of!

Many Thanks to you all and Happy New Year!

Ian Reynolds.
